Pastalaya (pasta jambalaya)

For a Pasta Lover, our Pastalaya (jambalaya with pasta instead of rice) is great as an entree or a side. We have assembled a wonderful mix with a premium quality non-GMO tricolor rigatoni pasta. Our seasoning mix consists of top quality, hard to find ingredients and you will not find a better tasting pastalaya mix anywhere. The rigatoni holds the sauce in the creases and curls to give you a wonderful, flavorful experience with each bite. Turn leftover meat into a gourmet dinner. Serves 4 as an entree or 8 as a side. Time to prepare is around 15 minutes.

Directions: Bring 3 quarts of water to a boil, add 2 tsp salt(may be omitted.) Pour in Pasta, withholding seasoning packet. Boil pasta until firm but tender, al dente. Drain in colander. Put 2 tbsp butter or olive oil in the empty pot and add one to one and a half pound of cubed cooked meat at this time. Sizzle the meat until the edges are brown. Turn off the fire and wait till the sizzle stops, then pour in one cup of cold water, add seasoning package and bring back to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes then add cooked pasta back in. Mix well, let set for a minute and serve.

Shrimp and Grits

Shrimp Sauce directions: Mix contents of sauce packet in a cup of cold water. Pan sear 1 lb peeled and deveined unseasoned shrimp in Olive Oil till opaque. Shrimp Boil Soup

Our Shrimp Boil Soup Mix is rich, thick soup that tastes exactly like you would want a Shrimp Boil Soup to taste. If you've ever lived on the bayou, or eaten any of our food, you know what we mean. If not, this soup epitomizes the Cajun flavor that has brought people here from all over the world to sample our food. Contains real Louisiana dried shrimp powder, potatoes, carrots and corn. Good all around Cajun seasoning. Beef, pork, chicken, fish - anything you want to use it on. It has less salt and heat than most Cajun seasonings and the salt we use is a good sea salt. We have more of the other good spices.

Brown Rice Jambalaya

Savory Cajun brown rice mix lets you make a really delicious jambalaya in under 30 minutes. We're not the only company with a jambalaya mix, but ours is very, very good. We use a high-quality par-boiled brown rice in our mix which produces a consistently high quality end product and reduces cooking time from a typical brown rice. You can cook it with no added meat for a wonderful rice dish with a heady mix of flavors. If you want to turn leftover meat into something special, this is the way to go. Makes a generous amount of rice. If you add 12 ounces of cubed meat to each pack of jambalaya, two packs will fill a catering half-pan.

Directions: Step 1: Put 2 tbsp of butter or olive oil in pot. Step 2:(optional) Cube 16 ounces of cooked and seasoned meat (chicken, sausage, shrimp, or any combination) and pan sear. Step 3: Add Rice Mix and 2� cups of water, bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer for 25 minutes, turn off heat, fluff and let set for 5-10 minutes until all liquid is absorbed by rice, then serve.
